CLASS/STATUS

Class and Status are basically the wealth of someone. Each one is split into two binary opposites. Class is Middle/working class and status is rich/poor. RICH
1) Kirk Norcross – in the programme TOWIE kirk is represented as having a lot of money, his dad owns a nightclub and they have a huge house.
2) J.R.Ewing – he owns an oil field
3) Mr Burns – the character in the Simpson’s is very rich because he owns a nuclear plant and has a personal assistant.
4) Ricci – this character is in the TV series Geordie shore. When he goes home in series three we are shown his car and house. He owns a range rover sport and a very big modern house, this shows his wealth clearly.
5)
POOR
1) Effy – of skins effy and tony are two characters which could be seen to be poor, this is because the house is in a council estate.
2) Lester Burnham from American Beauty would be an example of working class. He is employed and has an average size house
3) Kevin Webster from Coronation Street would be working class as he works in a garage on an average wage.
4) Billy from Eastenders would also be working class as he is employed on a wage working for other people in all different types of work.
5) Jason Grimshaw from Coronation Street works as a builder which would make him working class.
